ERA Calculator

Earned run average from earned runs and innings pitched, including partial innings.

How it's calculated

ERA = innings per game × earned runs ÷ innings pitched. Use 9 for MLB and college, 7 for high school and most softball, and 6 for Little League. Innings like 162.1 mean 162 and one out (⅓), not 162.1.

Example

45 earned runs in 162 innings is a 2.50 ERA.
